PMC is pleased to share with our community that Dagni Gleason, Physical Therapist, has joined our team & mission! Dagni received her Physical Therapy training from the University of Montana; and comes to us from Great Falls. Dagni provides general Physical Therapy; but specializes in Pelvic Health, with tremendous experience in Acute Care. Just over a month into her new role at Pondera Medical Center, Dagni says “I love Conrad and I love PMC! Very happy to be here!”
2019 was another tremendous year for the Rehabilitation Department at Pondera Medical Center. This department, which consists of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy, continues to receive high praise and ratings from patients of all ages and conditions. We are grateful to add Dagni to the dynamics of this department’s success.
On Father’s Day weekend in June, PMC hosted our annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser. It was our most successful tournament to date, showcasing 22 teams and garnering enough support to purchase 3 brand new top-of-the-line pieces of Rehabilitation equipment. The three high-priority items chosen were a 3-section Bariatric adjustable bed, Bariatric high-low treatment table and adjustable parallel bars. This was the equipment deemed most prudent to our patient community after careful consideration by the Rehab team and Administration. We believe that Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy are crucial services for PMC to offer to our community at the highest level of quality, and with the highest standard of equipment. These purchases have aided our talented and compassionate staff in providing services for patients of all ages, such as pain management, range of motion, quality of life, stroke rehabilitation, injury and illness rehabilitation, and so much more. The goal always has been, and always will be, to offer our community the highest standard of care without additional travel, time or cost. We feel very confident in our department’s ability to do just that!
This equipment and our skilled staff enter 2020 capable of serving conditions across all life-spans and all severity. We have the only Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Golden Triangle region and in close proximity. Stephanie Keil, SLP, sees patients of all ages for conditions such as developmental disorders in pediatrics, to adults with speech cognition and swallowing disorders. Rounding out our department are three Physical Therapists: LeAndra Gebhardt, Bill Salterberg, and Dagni Gleason; three P.T.A.’s: Dan Aakre, Charlene Bouma and Justin Winston, 1 Occupational Therapist: Erin Green; and our multi-talented Rehabilitation Administration Clerk, Vicki Padilla.
Adding Dagni to the Rehabilitation Department gives us a greater capacity to serve our community to a high standard of quality care. Stephanie Keil, SLP/Director of Rehabilitation Services, shares, “Dagni brings great experience in multiple therapy settings to our department. She connects really well with patients which exemplifies the atmosphere we have here. She adds a lot to our departments mission to treat the individual. We enjoy her great sense of humor and a pleasant warm personality; and look forward to the community getting to know her.”
Dagni is available Tuesday – Friday and is accepting new patients. To get on her schedule, or for inquiries and other Rehabilitation needs, please call 406-271-2222.
