PMC Ambulance Services will be hosting Emergency Medical Responder classes beginning March 2021. The classes will be held every Saturday from March through April. An organizational meeting will be held on Monday, February 15th at 7 pm in the Pondera County Firehall.
This is a very affordable way to become a licensed EMR with lots of hands-on training and discussion. Upon completion of coursework and passing the national certification exam, students will receive their EMR license and may begin making a difference in the lives of people in their community. After completing their first shift, students will be reimbursed up to $300 from the Pondera HealthCare Foundation.
Coursework will include weekly book and online assignments. Saturdays will be review and discussion and then realistic hands-on scenarios.
Becoming an EMR is a very rewarding opportunity to serve your community. Emergency services are vital in rural Montana where Healthcare facilities are not in close proximity. There is hourly pay for taking call shifts and opportunity to take shifts in a number of area communities. We encourage students from Conrad, Valier, Brady to enroll.
