Announcement from Pondera Medical Center:
PMC would like to update our community on the restrictions we have implanted and steps we are taking to plan for, and help, contain the spread of COVID-19 in the event that it reaches Pondera County.
First and foremost, we want to commend our staff for their dedication and hard work during these very busy and challenging times. The commitment of our team to our patients, residents and community is the glowing positive in this time of uncertainty and we are grateful to all. We would also like to thank our community for your efforts and cooperation.
At this time, we are allowing no visitation to our Extended Care Facility or hospital. We will screen all visitors and vendors carefully upon entry into our building. We are still offering outpatient services; but ask that you PLEASE call ahead for a phone screening and disclose any symptoms before coming to our facility. We strongly recommend social distancing as much as possible, including distancing yourself 6 feet from other individuals.
While the PMC Rural Health Clinic is still open. If you have symptoms- fever, cough, sore throat, please call ahead and allow us to direct you.
Ambulance Services are responding to calls; but ask that callers disclose symptoms up front to dispatch.
If you are in need of CPAP supplies, please call DME first and arrange for Diane to meet you at the screening station in our facility.
At this time, MRI and Mammo services are not available at PMC until further notice. The PMC Wellness Center will remain closed until further notice.
If you believe that you have had an exposure to COVID-19, and have symptoms please call your local health department and contact your healthcare provider if you feel medical attention is needed. You can read more about COVID-19 at cdc.gov/coronavirus
