2021 Whoop Up Fun Run

The Whoop Up Fun Run returned with a bang after the year off in 2020 due to the pandemic. We had tremendous support and enthusiasm from Stephanie Keil and the PMC Wellness Committee and were able to work with our friends at the Pondera County Health Department and Pondera Healthcare Foundation. Nearly 80 runners/walkers showed up early for the 8 am start time. The 3-mile route included all three entities- with the new walking path making up the middle mile of the route, passing by PMC and finishing near the Health Department. The one-mile route circles our beautiful football field and high school. Both races began and ended in front of Meadowlark School and many racers enjoyed pancake breakfast and then headed for the parade.

PMC would like to thank the Pondera Health Care Foundation and the Pondera County Health Department and our own volunteer employees for being part of the Whoop Up Fun Run! Big thank you to Brett Huntsinger, Randi Schlosser, Sydney Norby, Charity Crittendon, Sarah Wilson and Dustin Moon for all your help before and at the event. Thanks to all the runners for showing up to kick off Whoop Up Saturday. Thanks to Michaela Orcutt for hand crafting every single t-shirt for the runners! It was so nice to be part of Conrad’s biggest weekend and we saw many friends, old and new, from near and far. Kudos to Chris Torgerson and the Lions Club for a successful event.

Winners of the 1-mile event were: Liam Martin (10:46), Brandon & Rowen Utterback (11:01), Erik Gustafson (10:24), Lindsey Gonzales (13:37)

Winners of the 3-mile event were: Trent (23:52), Jaden Koon (time unavailable), Jade Rodriguez (27:06), Dr. Jay & Monica Taylor (29:08), Jamey Byrnes (27:13), Mary Kuka (time unavailable)

Shout out to the youngest participant in either race, Tucker Rasmussen (18 months!)! We hope this is your first of many! And a very special thank you to Kanin Johnson, for your late-night crafty road painting and all your help with the cones, t-shirts, prizes and mostly your good attitude & big heart. You are the best! -mom
